Inkjets are small, fragile merchandise and even a tiny dent can cause damage. Some have little plastic tabs, which are vital operational pieces of the cartridge, and can break off easily. Also, please do not touch the circuitry! Make sure to handle a cartridge with care and use proper packing methods to prevent these types of damages during shipping. We recommend the following methods for safe shipping: 1) Fill open spaces in your box with crumbled-up newspaper or other packaging material like bubble wrap. Shake your box and check if you hear items bouncing around. Add more packing material as needed. Old newspapers are cheap, abundant, biodegradable and easy to use. 2) Packing inkjets in sandwich or plastic bags helps protect the print head and circuitry from being damaged and extra ink from leaking out. Make sure you always line your box with a plastic bag! Download, print, cut-out and affix your pre-paid label to you box. Hand it to your USPS postal carrier and it’s that easy! |
