Remax Asia Pacific will be held from June 19 to 21 in Zhuhai, also known as the “capital of printer consumables”
Over 160 exhibitors from around the world will participate in this year’s trade show. Products and services on show will cover almost all categories in the imaging industry, including ink cartridges, toner cartridges, ribbons, TTR, printing paper, ink, plastic parts, toner, OPC drums, wiper blades, magnetic rollers, and other consumables accessories; testing equipment, toner and ink refilling machines and other production equipment. It is estimated that more than 6,000 visitors will meet at Remax Asia Pacific to trade, learn and network.
This is the second time that Remax Asia Pacific has been held in Zhuhai. In 2007, Remax Asia Pacific was held for the first time in Zhuhai and was a great success. 113 exhibitors from 13 countries and over 3500 visitors from 48 countries and regions took part in the show. Remax Asia Pacific provided a platform for Zhuhai to display its credentials as the centre of the imaging industry. Combining exhibition and factory visits is the USP that attracts visitors to the show.
The success of the 2007 show has raised the expectations for Remax Asia Pacific 2008. More people are starting to see Remax Asia Pacific as the place where they can meet the right suppliers or buyers, find out about the latest developments in the industry, and exchange ideas and opinions with different people from the industry around the world. The event’s organiser Recycler Publishing & Events also uses its experience and expertise to promote the show through different channels across the world, aiming to create the most effective trade show in the Asia Pacific region.
A number of different activities are to be held from 18 to 21 June in order to create the best opportunity for business, education and fun.
Premax Conference: Wednesday, 18 June
The Premax Conference is an important component of Remax Asia Pacific. The speakers are experts and industry leaders with extensive influence in the aftermarket industry. The hottest issues and the latest trends in the industry are always discussed at the conference. Therefore, the Premax Conference always attracts attendance from business owners and senior managers from different companies.
This year, the Premax Conference will be held on Wednesday 18 June at the conference centre at the Southern Software Park, where is next to the exhibition hall. David Connett, Managing Director and Publisher of Recycler Publishing & Events, will share his observation on the global state of the remanufacturing industry. And Paul Jeffery, Managing Director of RPE Research, will shed light on everything he knows about the European market, from patent to politics.
"Patents" have been affecting the entire industry’s development. Helen Duan, senior patent attorney, will give updates on the patents’ developments. In particular she will talk about the fact that on April 16, Epson patent No.00131800.4 was declared invalid by the State Patent Office of China, which injected confidence into aftermarket industry. What effect will this patent case have on the entire industry? Ms Duan will share her point of view.

2008 Print-Rite Innovation Award: Thursday, 19 June
The Print-Rite Innovation Award was another highlight at Remax Asia Pacific 2007. In 2008, the Print-Rite Innovation Award will again be held at the trade show. A number of awards will be presented for outstanding innovations and inventions in the industry, including 10 Golden Awards, 2 Best Design, 2 Most Creative Awards, and 2 Best Craftsmanship. The award ceremony will be held at 14:00-16:00 on 19 June 2008 at the exhibition centre.
Reception Party: Thursday, 19 June
A reception will be held for exhibitors and their guests to expresses Recycler’s thanks and welcome. It will be held from 16:30-17:30 on June 19 in the Southern Software Park. All the exhibitors and invited guests will enjoy drinks and food, as well as live band music. It is also a good way to relax after a busy day at the trade show.
Remax Gala Dinner: Friday, 20 June
The Remax Gala Dinner is a long-standing tradition of Remax trade show. And at Remax Asia Pacific, this tradition is followed in style. Last year, the Gala Dinner was dedicated to charity. And this year, the Gala Dinner will take you on a ship cruising along the coast of Zhuhai and Macau. The romantic tour in the summer breeze is sure to be a good experience. Exhibitors, Premax Conference delegates and visitors are welcome to enjoy the beautiful night view, food and entertainment. This will also be a good chance for networking and relaxation. The Gala Dinner will be held on 20 June, 19:00 to 21:00.
Shuttle buses will pick you up from the exhibition centre as well as the recommended hotels (Holiday Inn, Harbour View Hotel, Catic Hotel and Home Inn).
Remax Academy: Saturday, 21 June
Remax Academy is another programme aiming to provide information and knowledge. It provides free training to all visitors, especially engineers and technicians. It also provides an opportunity for face to face discussion on technical issues. Such interaction will help to promote the healthy development of the industry. Zhuhai, is a famous tourist city in China and is known as the "romantic city". After the trade show, you can promenade along the Lovers’ Road, enjoy the sea breeze and the peaceful night scene. There is a hot spring spa to visit at the Ocean Spring Resort. Or if you are a golfer, you can go and play golf in one of the 18-hole golf courses. Of course, if you have time, you can also walk through the Gongbei Port to Macau and enjoy the excitement in the Oriental Las Vegas.
